The 2025/26 La Liga season staged another focus game. Barcelona, playing at home, relied on Ferran Torres's brace and Olmo's goal to finally defeat Getafe 3-0.

Three minutes into the match, Kounde was tackled by Getafe midfielder Mario Martin while passing the ball, and the referee showed Mario Martin a yellow card. In the fourth minute, Barcelona attacked with a free kick. Rafinha received the ball at the top of the penalty area and shot from long range, but the ball went straight wide of the goal.

In the 15th minute, Rafinha made a diagonal pass, Olmo in the penalty area received it and passed it back with his heel, and Ferran Torres pushed the ball in, helping Barcelona take the lead 1-0. In the 27th minute, Olmo made a through ball, Pedri received the ball and passed it to the front of the goal, but Lewandowski was unable to touch the ball when he shot.

In the 34th minute, Rafinha passed the ball to Ferran Torres, who then dribbled to the top of the penalty area and scored with a long shot, helping Barcelona continue to lead Getafe 2-0. In the 41st minute, Lewandowski received the ball and shot from the penalty area, but the ball was blocked by Getafe goalkeeper Soria.

In the 43rd minute, Pedri made a long pass, Ferran Torres rushed into the penalty area and volleyed, but the ball hit the post.

At the start of the second half, Getafe launched an attack. Luis Milla received a pass from his teammate and shot wide. In the 58th minute, Lewandowski was brought down by Getafe defender Aboukar while attempting a breakthrough, and the referee showed Aboukar a yellow card.

In the 59th minute, Barcelona won a free kick, and Olmo took the penalty, but the ball went over the post. In the 62nd minute, substitute Rashford dribbled the ball into the penalty area and Olmo shot low into the net, extending Barcelona's lead to 3-0.

In the 72nd minute, Fermin received a cross from his teammate and broke into the penalty area and shot but missed.

The score remained unchanged, and Barcelona ultimately defeated Getafe 3-0 at home. With all three points, Barcelona currently sits in second place in the standings with 13 points, two behind first-placed Real Madrid.
