Wolves have officially announced the completion of the loan signing of Girona defender Ladislav Krejci. The 26-year-old center-back, who is also capable of playing in midfield, has played nearly 250 games in his career. If a clause in his contract is triggered, his move will automatically become permanent, with the club playing until 2030.  

Ladislav Krejci began his professional career in his home country at the age of 17, making over 50 appearances for Brno Zbrojovka and scoring his first senior goal, while also progressing through the national team's youth teams.  

In 2019, he joined Sparta Prague, marking the team's continued development and giving him his first taste of European competition with the Czech Cup, one of four trophies he won with his new club. The defender made his Czech national team debut against Poland in March 2022, scoring the fastest goal in the team's history. Last summer, he also played in all three matches of the UEFA Euro 2024 tournament for the Czech Republic.  

After moving to Girona, Ladislav Krejci quickly integrated into the defense. Of his 36 appearances in northern Spain, seven came in the Champions League. His spectacular left-footed volley against Villarreal was named La Liga Goal of the Month for December 2024.  

After completing a full pre-season with Girona, the defender made his debut against Old Trafford at the Estadio Montilivi and started the team's first two La Liga matches. However, he is now about to embark on a new journey and join Wolves to take on the challenge.  

Ladislav Krejci revealed that his conversation with Vitor Pereira had a profound impact on him and solidified his belief that Wolves was the right next step in his career. After completing his medical and meeting with various club staff, Ladislav Krejci could not contain his excitement. He expressed his hope to demonstrate his leadership and versatility in his new environment and expressed his determination to return to matches and training as soon as possible.
