Inter Milan defeated Bologna 3-1 in the 18th round of the 2025/26 Serie A season, thanks to goals from Zielinski, Lautaro Martinez, and Thuram. Argentine star Lautaro Martinez stated that the most important thing is to be able to play and give everything for the Nerazzurri.

In the 39th minute, Lautaro dribbled into the edge of the penalty area and crossed the ball, where Zielinski fired a low shot into the net, giving Inter Milan a 1-0 lead over Bologna. In the 48th minute of the second half, Çalhanoğlu took a corner kick, and Lautaro headed the ball into the net, extending Inter Milan's lead over Bologna to 2-0.

In the 74th minute, Dimarco took a corner kick, and Thuram shouldered the ball into the goal, extending Inter Milan's lead to 3-0. In the 83rd minute, Santiago Castro received a pass from Leco Giannis and slid in to score, helping Bologna pull one back to 1-3.

Inter Milan ultimately defeated Bologna 3-1 at the San Siro Stadium. After achieving their fifth consecutive victory, Inter Milan currently sits atop the league table with 39 points, one point ahead of second-placed AC Milan.
