Liverpool striker Nunez officially joins Al-Hilal on a three-year contract

Al-Hilal officially announced on Saturday that Uruguayan striker Darwin Nunez has signed from Liverpool on a three-year contract that will run until June 30, 2028.
According to multiple media reports, the transfer fee is €53 million plus variable bonuses. Nunez's weekly salary at Al-Hilal will also increase from £140,000 at Liverpool to £400,000.
The 26-year-old Nunez made his debut in the youth training of Peñarol and transferred to Benfica for 34 million euros in September 2020. He played for Benfica for two seasons, contributing 48 goals and 16 assists in 85 games across all competitions.
In July 2022, Núñez joined Liverpool from Benfica for €85 million. To date, he has made 143 appearances for Liverpool, scoring 40 goals and providing 26 assists, winning the Premier League, League Cup, and Community Shield with the team.
As for the national team, Núñez has represented Uruguay on the international stage since October 2019, making 35 appearances to date, scoring 13 goals and providing three assists. He is also a key member of Uruguay's squad for the 2022 World Cup and the 2024 Copa América.
