Manchester United manager Morin is satisfied with his team's draw.

After a hard-fought 1-1 draw, Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim was pleased with the progress his team had shown.

Despite Manchester United failing to secure all three points away from home, the 40-year-old Portuguese manager stated in a post-match interview that the team's control of the game has significantly improved and they are gradually shedding their old tactical reliance.

When asked about the referee's assessment of the performance, Amorim gave a positive review. He believed that Manchester United showed more mature control of the game compared to their previous match against Wolves. "I think we played very well, with more control than in the last game, which is crucial for our preparation for next week's match," Amorim said.

Although Leeds United are known for their strong set pieces and rapid transitions between attack and defense, Amorim believes Manchester United limited their strengths for most of the time. Regarding the goal conceded, he attributed it to a lapse in attention to detail rather than a systemic collapse.

Amorim said: "We were in control when Leeds United scored, but they converted the goal with a long pass. However, if it were last year, the situation after conceding a goal would have been completely different. This year, our ability to manage the game has improved significantly."

On the attacking front, Amorim refuted concerns about a lack of support for striker Benjamin Sesko. He emphasized that Manchester United are in a period of transition and must dominate the game through possession, rather than returning to the old, open, attacking style.

“We don’t want to become the team that always gets bogged down in a lot of disorganized offensive and defensive transitions,” Amorim stated firmly, outlining his offensive philosophy. “We want to refine our game and prepare our attacks by controlling possession.”

Regarding Sesco's missed chance to win the game, Amorim expressed his full trust and patience: "We are creating opportunities for our strikers. Sesco only needs to score one goal, and all the pressure on his shoulders will disappear. Once he breaks through that barrier, everything will become easier."
