Villarreal head coach Marcelino García Toral attended a press conference after the team's 1-3 victory over Elche, analyzing the important and well-deserved win.  

Marcelino was very satisfied with the team's resounding victory in Elche. He said, "It was a tough match, and Elche's home record is the best proof of that, but we performed brilliantly. We knew how to defend, how to organize our attacks, and how to capitalize on our scoring opportunities. We successfully limited our opponents while creating more excellent scoring chances. We are very happy to win here and take three points, because no team has ever won here before."  

Furthermore, Marcelino also pointed out that the players' efficient finishing ability shown early in the game was key to the victory. He stated, "Taking the lead is a huge morale booster. Today we seized our opportunities and performed better on both ends of the pitch. We created more excellent scoring chances and could have scored even more goals. Taking the lead early in the game gave us an advantage."

Finally, Marcelino summarized Villarreal's performance in the first half of the season. He said, "The team currently has 38 points, and with two games left in the first half of the season, this is an incredible result. We have only lost to three strong teams, which makes us very satisfied."
