Marcel Munesi noted the significance of having all his players scoring for Wolves this season. He was therefore delighted with his own goal against Everton. The midfielder's first goal of the season sealed Wolves' victory over the Reds in the Carabao Cup. Furthermore, Tolu Arokodare's first goal since joining the club late on gave Vitor Pereira's side renewed confidence.

I think he will play a key role for us this season. Even though this was a League Cup game, it was definitely good for him to be able to play in the league and it will greatly boost his confidence."
