Sevilla secured a crucial victory with a 1-0 victory over Rayo Vallecano. After the match, head coach Matías Almeida couldn't hide his joy and shared his thoughts on the game in an interview with the media.  

After the game, Matías Almeida said: "We are very happy to win this game. I appreciate the team's determination in the face of tough opponents and complex situations. Although we failed to find the most effective attacking method in the pressing phase and had shortcomings in seizing the attacking timing, the team still showed a tenacious spirit."  

“When you play against a team with good technique and a distinctive style of play, they usually create threats from the flanks. They did send a lot of crosses. However, in the second half we improved our performance, moved our defense forward and gradually found our attacking rhythm towards the end of the game.”  

Matías Almeida commented on the team's cohesion: "All achievements are based on team unity. If everyone remains humble, has a strong desire and truly identifies with the jersey they wear, victory will come sooner or later. The players have demonstrated this desire through their actions, and this is the only path I believe in."  

"Maybe I am lacking in some aspects, but I always stick to my ideas and work hard to win the trust of the team. The reality is in front of us, and we will defend it in our own way. We will move forward step by step. We just won away from home a few days ago, and that joy only lasted for one day. Now we have to continue to enjoy this moment and let the fans feel the joy as well."  

The head coach also expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the fans. He said: "The enthusiasm of the fans has never been stopped by anything. Their support is crucial to the team. Every time I step onto the field and see the supporters in the stands, it is extremely inspiring. I thank them for their sacrifices because I was a fan myself. We are writing this journey together."
