Following the match against Al-Qadiyya, players Nemanja Gudelj and Erjan Nylan shared their thoughts on Sevilla FC, agreeing that the team has adapted well to the tactical system implemented by head coach Matías Almeida.  

The Serbian player said: "The coach is very meticulous in his tactical arrangements and our training is very thorough. The pre-season is very intense, which is natural because it is related to our physical foundation for the whole season. We will be fully prepared, which gives us confidence. The team is always pursuing improvement and strives to achieve better results in the competition. Before going to San Mamés to give it our all, we still have a friendly match as a test."  

Nemanja Gudelj, who wore the captain's armband in the Antonio Puerta Cup, commented after Sevilla FC's victory on penalties: "It was an emotional match for us, and winning in front of our home fans was very important. Although we created many chances, the match felt a bit long considering we had just played two days before. But the most important thing is that we won in the end."  

The victory was largely due to Erjan Nyland's impressive save in the crucial penalty shootout. The Norwegian, who was named the match's Most Valuable Player (MVP), said: "I'm very happy to have won this trophy. I'm also pleased that Sevilla's goalkeeper performed very well in the shootout. I sincerely thank the fans for their support and my teammates for converting all their penalties."  

"In recent matches, we have clearly seen the high-pressing tactics implemented by the new coach. With this style of play, we have created many chances, although the number of goals still needs to be improved. We are in good physical condition, and with two weeks left until the start of the new season, this will be a crucial stage for us to further improve."
