West Ham United manager Nuno Espirito Santo confirmed in a pre-match press conference that defender Constantinos Mavropanos and striker Niklas Füllkrug are making good progress in their recovery.

Mavropanos has been sidelined since suffering a leg injury against Brentford on October 20, while Felix Kluge has missed the last three matches due to muscle problems. Both players have recently returned to the Rush Green training ground to begin rehabilitation training.

At the pre-match press conference, Nuno said regarding their situations: "They are both improving, just at different stages. Mavropanos is still doing individual training, while Füllkrug has partially trained with the team. We will proceed step by step according to their recovery pace and treatment plan."

Nuno added that the team will face Burnley this weekend before the international break, and he is optimistic that the two injured players will be fully recovered by then: "I believe everything will be fine after the international break."

Speaking about the upcoming match against Burnley, Nuno emphasized that it will be a completely different challenge: "Burnley is a team with a distinctive style and a great squad. We know their strength, and the match will be very difficult."

In addition, Nuno specifically mentioned his respect for Burnley manager Scott Parker: "We've known each other for many years, and he has done an excellent job both in England and overseas. He is someone I greatly admire."

West Ham will host Burnley in Saturday's 11th round of the Premier League, aiming to continue their winning streak and end the first half of the season on a solid note.
