Al-Qahri officially announced on Tuesday that Jorge Jesus will replace Stefano Pioli as the first team coach with immediate effect. The two parties signed a one-year contract, which will be valid until June 30, 2026.

Jorge Jesus parted ways with Al-Hilal after being eliminated in the semi-finals of the 2024/25 Asian Champions League, and was once the second candidate for the head coach of the Brazilian national team after Carlo Ancelotti. For Jesus, Ronaldo was the key reason he was chosen as the winning coach in Riyadh. "Without Ronaldo, I certainly wouldn't have come back," he said before flying from Lisbon to Riyadh. "We speak the same language, which makes everything easier. I couldn't refuse the challenge Ronaldo gave me."

According to Saudi media Al Riyadiah, Jesus' annual salary at Victory is 7 million euros.
