Nigeria international Ola Aina has officially extended his contract with Nottingham Forest until the summer of 2028 and said he can't wait to welcome the team's upcoming new season.

Nottingham Forest performed well in the 2024-25 season, setting the team's highest Premier League points record in 30 years and successfully returning European competitions to the City Ground for the first time since the 1994-95 season.

As an important member of the team's defense, Aina's contract extension is seen as a key step in the team's stabilization and continued success. In an interview with Nottingham Forest's TV station, Aina said: "I am very happy to finalize the contract extension before the start of the new season. Everything is arranged properly, which makes me look forward to the new season."
