Nottingham Forest announced that Ola Aina has renewed his contract with the team and the new contract will last until the summer of 2028. The player performed very well in the team's 2024-25 season, starting 35 of 38 Premier League games and playing a key role.  

Ola Aina mainly played as a left-back last season, and this season he is mainly responsible for the defensive work on the right side of Nottingham Forest's back line. With his tireless defensive performance, he became the player with the most ball recoveries in the defensive third zone in the top five European leagues in the 2024-25 season.  

He contributed two goals as Forest eventually finished seventh in the Premier League, including a superb left-footed effort in a 3-0 win over West Ham United at the City Ground.  

Ola Aina transferred from Serie A Torino to Nottingham Forest in the summer of 2023 and played 59 times for the team in all competitions. He has played 100 games in Serie A and has rich experience in the top league. He is only 9 games away from the 100-game milestone in the Premier League.  

Ola Aina is just four games away from reaching another important milestone in the upcoming season. He only needs four more appearances for the Super Eagles to reach 50 caps for his country.  

Talking about the contract extension, Ola Aina said: "I am very happy and can't wait to continue playing for the club. Since joining, this place has been like my home and I am very happy to be a part of the team. Now, my focus is to prepare for the new season and devote all my efforts to training."
