Bologna striker Orsolini recently talked about the joy of returning to the Italian national team in an interview and said that he would dedicate his playing style to the "Azzurri".

Italy, coached by Spalletti, will travel to Norway to challenge Norway in the first round of the European qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup next month.

In the 2024/25 Serie A season, Orsolini contributed 15 goals and 5 assists for Bologna in 30 games, performing very well.

"I am very happy and proud to be back with the Italian national team after being left out of the Euro 2016 squad," said Orsolini, 28.

"I will return to the Azzurri with the same passion as always and will contribute my characteristics to the team, that is, unpredictability, dribbling ability and desire for goals, and I believe I can bring a lot of help to the national team. As for the tactical system and arrangement, it will depend on the coach."

Although Bologna only ranked 9th in Serie A this season, it defeated AC Milan in the Italian Cup and successfully qualified for Europe.

"We participated in the Champions League this season, which is the highest level of club competition. We also learned some lessons in such competitions, but it is that experience that helped us grow, and now we have more confidence," Orsolini said.
