Paris Saint-Germain announced on their official website on Monday that the club have signed Barcelona wonderkid Dro.
According to PSG's official statement, Dro has signed on a long-term four-and-a-half-year deal with the club which runs until the summer of 2030. He will also wear the number 27 jersey.
Multiple media reports indicate that the Ligue 1 and Champions League defending champions triggered Dro's €6 million release clause and paid an additional €2 million in youth compensation fee to secure his signing.
Barça had also been preparing to extend Dro's contract, but the wonderkid insisted on leaving to seek a guaranteed pathway of promotion to the first-team and rejected the Blaugrana's offer.
After completing his transfer, Dro, who was interviewed by the Paris Saint-Germain official website for the first time, said: "I am very happy and very proud to join Paris Saint-Germain. This is an incredibly honorable moment for me and my family."
"Paris Saint-Germain is a great club. I've followed it since I was a child. Many great legends have emerged from here, creating countless stories. Now, I am incredibly excited and motivated, eager to give my all for this jersey."
