Real Betis announced on its official website on Wednesday that the club has officially bought out the ownership rights of on-loan Brazil international winger Antony from Manchester United.

According to Real Betis' official statement, Antony has signed on a long-term five-year deal with the club which runs until the summer of 2030. According to La Liga regulations, Antony's buyout clause is set at €75 million.

In addition, according to Spanish online media outlet Relevo's resident renowned Italian transfer journalist Matteo Moretto, Real Betis paid the Red Devils a total transfer fee of €22 million to sign Antony, excluding potential add-ons of up to €3 million. Manchester United will also receive a 50% of Antony's future sell-on clause.

After completing his joining procedures, Antony, who was interviewed by the Real Betis official website again, said, "Only my family knows how difficult it was there. I had to train alone, but I knew this incredible moment was coming. Of course, I was worried it wouldn't happen, but I waited because I was so confident."

This transfer also marked the end of Antony's two-and-a-half-year nightmare at Manchester United.

Antony, 25, was born on February 24, 2000, in Osasco, São Paulo, Brazil. He is 1.72 meters tall and primarily plays as a right winger, but can also play as a left winger.
