Premier League giants Manchester City announced that Dutch midfielder Reinders has officially joined the team and signed a five-year contract.

The 26-year-old Reinders previously played for AC Milan in Serie A and scored 10 goals and 4 assists for the Rossoneri in the 2024/25 Serie A season, and scored 3 goals in the Champions League.

Reinders said in an interview, "I am very excited to sign with Manchester City. Manchester City is one of the top teams in the world, with the best coach, world-class players and top training facilities. Under Guardiola's leadership, the team has won a lot of Champions League trophies, and I hope I can contribute to the team's continued success in winning more championships."

“It’s also my dream to play in the Premier League, a league where many great Dutch players have left wonderful performances, and they have always been my role models to learn from and follow. I can’t wait to start a new journey, meet my teammates and show my abilities to Manchester City fans.”

In the 2024/25 Premier League, Manchester City, led by Guardiola, overcame numerous difficulties and challenges, and finally finished the journey in third place and qualified for the Champions League.

In addition, Manchester City will fly to the United States next week to participate in the 2025 Club World Cup, and Reinders and new players Rayan Cherki, Ait Nouri and goalkeeper Bettinelli who recently joined Manchester City are also on the roster.
