Rob Edwards is proud of his players; the team displayed tremendous energy and a high level of commitment during the game.

Rob Edwards stated that the team's progress in recent months was fully demonstrated in the 0-0 draw against Newcastle United at Molineux Stadium, particularly in defense. Wolves displayed a tenacious attitude, not allowing their Champions League-caliber opponents their first shot on target until the 85th minute, and they also created their most dangerous chance of the match, potentially scoring the winning goal.

Despite acknowledging the progress the team has made since he took over, Rob Edwards still pointed out that there is still room for improvement in several areas as Wolves hope to continue their good form in the second half of the season.

Rob Edwards said: "I'm really proud of them. The players showed a lot of energy and commitment on the pitch. Especially when we didn't have the ball, we performed very well. Against such a strong opponent, we had to control the tempo of the game when we weren't on the ball and win the game the way we wanted."

“I think we contained their attack very well. Of course, I hope we can be more threatening in attack, whether it's on the counter-attack or in key areas of the attacking third. Although we didn't win today, I have high expectations for the players, and I will continue to do so. Overall, I am very satisfied with their commitment and fighting spirit, especially against such a strong team.”

"Our performance has been moving in the right direction, but nothing boosts confidence more than a win. We played very well today, gave everything, and came very close to winning. Now we are at least competitive and can learn from every game. There is still a long way to go, but the lads keep fighting."

"I think we've been working hard for a while now. Looking back, considering all the problems we have to solve, this is never something that can be done quickly. We need time to do things step by step . Although it's not perfect yet, you can see that this is a team that is willing to fight. Everyone will block, compete, steal, and run at full speed."

“Sometimes it’s precisely because of a lack of confidence that you don’t do well in certain areas. But ultimately, they are human, not magnets on a tactical board, nor robots. Of course, we want them to be perfect all the time, but even Premier League players have moments of low spirits and lack of confidence, which can affect their performance. Fortunately, we feel things are getting better now, and our overall performance is improving.”

“Especially defensively, we need to become more solid. We are improving and conceding fewer goals now, which gives us more opportunities to score in games. If we can keep a clean sheet, we know we have a chance to win. Keeping a clean sheet for the second consecutive Premier League home game is really great and lays a good foundation for us.”

“We must work hard to build momentum and try to stay in the league. Regardless of the outcome, we need to maintain a good form next season. We hope to use momentum and confidence to help the club out of its current predicament, while rebuilding our connection with the fans. The fans are the most important people to the club, and we are working hard to do that in the Premier League season. Although it is difficult, I think we are making some good progress.”
