Rob Edwards stated that the team's progress in recent months was fully demonstrated in the 0-0 draw against Newcastle United at Molineux Stadium, particularly in defense. Wolves displayed a tenacious attitude, not allowing their Champions League-caliber opponents their first shot on target until the 85th minute, and they also created their most dangerous chance of the match, potentially scoring the winning goal.  

Despite acknowledging the progress the team has made since he took over, Rob Edwards still pointed out that there is still room for improvement in several areas as Wolves hope to continue their good form in the second half of the season.  

Rob Edwards said: "I'm really proud of them. The players showed a lot of energy and commitment on the pitch. Especially when we didn't have the ball, we performed very well. Against such a strong opponent, we had to control the tempo of the game when we weren't on the ball and win the game the way we wanted."
