Brighton defeated Liverpool 2-1 in a key Premier League match of Round 31, thanks to a brace from Danny Welbeck. Manager André Schürrle said he was pleased with the intensity his team displayed on the pitch and believed it was key to the victory.

In the 14th minute, Diego Gomez headed the ball across the goal, and Welbeck headed it in to give Brighton a 1-0 lead. In the 30th minute, Dunk made a mistake on his back pass, and Kelkez Milos intercepted the ball and chipped it into the net to level the score at 1-1 for Liverpool.

In the 56th minute of the second half, Hinschelwood crossed the ball, and Welbeck slotted it home, giving Brighton a 2-1 lead. Ultimately, Brighton secured a 2-1 victory over Liverpool at home. With this second consecutive win, Brighton currently sits in 10th place in the league table with 43 points.

Brighton manager André Schürlzer said, "I really liked the intensity we showed on the pitch, and I think that was the key to winning. We pressed high, played with great intensity, had good overall energy, and created a lot of chances, especially in the second half.
