Southampton interim manager Simon Rask thought his team had a good performance and was pleased with the result of the game, with Leslie Ugochukwu scoring in injury time to help the team draw 1-1.  

After 45 minutes of play, West Ham United played well but failed to score. Shortly after the restart, Jarrod Bowen scored a goal for West Ham United to take the lead.  

Simon Lask said after the game: "Sometimes I worry that if I can't feel the rhythm and atmosphere of the game in person, I will lose that strong sense of resonance after the game. But now, although the process is a bit dull, I think this is the result we at least deserve."  

"In an away game in the Premier League, we know we have to defend well. We know we have to do our best defensively and ensure the overall performance of the team. However, our performance at key moments in the game is also very important and should not be underestimated."  

“I think we created threats in the right way at crucial moments. I was a little disappointed that we didn’t take the lead before half-time and the way the opponent scored made me a little disappointed. However, I am very happy that we scored the second goal of the game. I think we deserved it.”  

"When we were under pressure and fell behind, we withstood the pressure. This is something we discussed before, how we would get through it if we were hit. We performed well in this regard, both tactically and psychologically."  

Leslie Ugochukwu's goal was his first in English football and Simon Rask praised the player's performance.  

Simon Rask said: "Leslie Ugochukwu is really great and his performance is impressive. In the second half of the season, he found his rhythm. Sometimes we tend to ignore the age of the players. In fact, he is still very young, but he has accumulated a lot of Premier League experience, which is really valuable."
