In the seventh round of the UEFA Europa League, Aston Villa defeated Fenerbahce 1-0. Tyrone Mings was named Man of the Match for his outstanding performance and was satisfied with his play. The defender made his first return from injury in late October, returning to the starting lineup in Istanbul and wearing the captain's armband.  

Tyrone Mings expressed satisfaction with his own performance, but he was even more excited about the team's overall performance, which propelled Aston Villa to second place in the league standings. He stated, "My purpose in coming here is to contribute to the team."  

“The team performed exceptionally well during my absence, so it’s especially important that I maintain the same level of performance upon my return. With several players still injured, every player is crucial, and the team’s success depends on the overall strength of the team.”  

“I am proud of my performance, but I am even more proud of the team’s strong spirit and character in such a difficult environment. The team is always the most important thing, and I am glad that we finally won the game and got three points.”  

With Aston Villa securing their place in the round of 16 early, Tyrone Mings points out that this will help the team better cope with the congested schedule. The 32-year-old defender hopes to finish the league stage next week with a home game against RB Salzburg before turning his focus to the knockout stages.  

Tyrone Mings added: "All teams are facing a tight schedule and a lot of games, so it's crucial for us to aim for the highest possible ranking and finish in the top eight. We look forward to completing this phase, and as for what happens next, we'll have to wait and see."
