Aston Villa manager Unai Emery said the team is currently in the best form of the season after beating Tottenham Hotspur in the penultimate round of the Premier League. After a 2-0 win at Villa Park, the home team still has hope of competing for a top five spot when they travel to Manchester United on the final round next weekend.  

After the game, Unai Emery said: "I am really grateful for the fans' continued support. We feel very confident and comfortable here. So far, we have only lost once in the Premier League, and the first defeat was against Arsenal."  

"We are improving our performance step by step. Of course, we had a few draws and those games cost us some valuable points, but we have to face this reality."  

“We have to accept that we have completed 37 games and that, regardless of the results, the team has remained relatively stable. Now is the time to seize the opportunity in front of us. The team is in good form. We are actively responding to the challenges in front of us. Although we have performed well in the FA Cup and Carabao Cup, it is the Champions League that excites us the most.”  

“The Premier League is the most important competition for us because only through it can we achieve our goal of returning to Europe. Next year, we will play in European competitions, but at the moment the team is fighting for a place in the Champions League and has the chance to win it in the last game in Manchester.”  

Unai Emery also expressed his gratitude to the fans, saying: "We are extremely proud of our fans as we finish the season at Villa Park. The fans have always given us strength and positive support and have been behind us throughout the season.  

"We feel very powerful here and the connection between the team and the supporters is crucial, both in how we communicate with them and how they respond to us."
