Crystal Palace captain Marc Guiay said he was proud of his team's performance against the in-form Aston Villa at Selhurst Park. Despite recent mixed results, Crystal Palace's home form was superior, making the point well-deserved. Guiay pointed out that with a bit more luck, the team had every chance to secure three points in several goalmouth scrambles.
After the match, Crystal Palace captain Mark Guei said: "We know we are going through a difficult period, and Aston Villa are in excellent form. Regardless of the result, I am proud of the team's performance today. This point is crucial, and every point is precious in the fierce league. Crystal Palace performed admirably, limiting Aston Villa, who had won 11 of their previous 12 matches in all competitions, to just three shots on target throughout the game.
