Villarreal manager Marcelino García Toral led his team to a hard-fought 4-0 victory over Rayo Vallecano at the Estadio de la Cerámica. He gave a post-match interview to the media.  

Marcelino said: "We are very satisfied with the result. Rayo Vallecano posed a great challenge to us in many aspects of the game, and they passed the ball very quickly. Our defense was very solid, we conceded almost no goals, and we scored a few excellent goals, so I am very happy. It is no easy feat to beat a Rayo Vallecano team in good form 4-0."  

Marcelino emphasized that the team needs to continue improving and avoid complacency, while also being satisfied with their current performance. He stated, "We have kept three consecutive clean sheets, which shows that the team is in very good form."  

Villarreal's coach also highly praised Gerard Moreno's performance. He said, "For most of the game, he was the best player on the pitch. When he's in good form, he can decide the outcome of a match. He's very demanding of himself, not only avoiding injuries but also maintaining his highest level of performance. We are very happy to have Gerard Moreno. A few games ago, we couldn't field Gerard Moreno and Ayoze Perez at the same time, but now we can finally use both of them simultaneously."  

Speaking about the upcoming Champions League match on Thursday, Marcelino pointed out that the team must win away from home and maintain good form. He said, "We will approach this difficult match with caution and humility. Only by being solid defensively and efficient in attack can we strive for victory. This is crucial. If we can do that, we will be in a favorable position in the group, while other teams are close behind."
