Villarreal head coach Marcelino García Toral expressed his satisfaction with his team's third consecutive victory and thanked the fans for the good atmosphere they created during the game. Marcelino spoke to the media after Villarreal's 1-0 victory over Athletic Bilbao.  

The head coach highlighted the team's significant improvement in the second half, which ultimately secured victory. He said: "In the first half, we were short-handed and disorganised, allowing the opponent to suppress us in their own half. At the same time, our defense was slow to react, which gave the opponent opportunities to control the game."  

“Although we created some chances, the overall feeling was not ideal. After halftime, we adjusted our tactical formation and gradually took the initiative. We created more chances and effectively curbed the opponent’s threats.”  

Marcelino also emphasized the importance of the fans' support in the team's three-game winning streak. He said: "I am very happy and sincerely thank the fans for their support. They created a great atmosphere for the game, and we deeply felt the close connection between the fans and the team, which injected us with extra motivation. I thank them, just as I thank the players who turned the game around in the second half."
