Wolves announced on Friday that they have completed a contract extension with Jurgen Larsson, which will run from 2029 to June 30, 2030, with an option to extend for a further year.
The 25-year-old Jurgen Larsen, standing at 1.93 meters tall, is considered a typical Norwegian center forward. He spent the first five years of his career at Sarpsborg in the Norwegian Premier League and Groningen in the Dutch Eredivisie, and joined the top five leagues through Celta in 2022.
After two seasons at Celta, Larsson moved to Wolves on a loan-to-buy basis. To date, he has made 41 appearances for Wolves, scoring 16 goals and providing 5 assists, playing a key role in the team's successful avoidance of relegation last season.
After Larsson signed the new contract, Wolves manager Vitor Pereira said: "He is a man of outstanding character and a great mentality. His extension is great news for us, the fans and everyone at the club. "
"To reach the next level, we need players like Larsson. It's not just about his technical and tactical ability, but also his fighting spirit and his character. He is crucial for us and his contract extension is undoubtedly excellent news. "
"Jurgen has a strong character. He's happy to be here, has great relationships with his teammates and has a lot of love for the club. He's ambitious, which is a very valuable quality. He wants more, he wants to score more goals."
Larsson added: "I've had an incredibly happy time at Wolves. The contract extension shows my commitment to the club. I'm very happy at Wolves, I love my friends and teammates, and the fans are fantastic. We just want to make this season better than last."
"I've signed a new contract to stay at Wolves for a longer period. It's perfect for me – the club is happy and I'm happy too. Now I'm ready to get back on the pitch. The most important thing for me is to get back on the pitch and help the team get back to winning ways and get over the poor start to the season."
"As everyone knows, I am happiest when I score on the pitch. As players, we must build a united team, create a good atmosphere and ensure that every time we play at Molineux, we have the support of the city and all the fans."
