Parma announced on Tuesday that they have completed a contract extension with Emanuele Valeri. The new contract will extend the original contract, which was due to expire in 2027, by one year, until June 30, 2028.

Emanuele Valeri, 26, was born in Rome, Italy, and plays as a left-back and left midfielder. He initially played for several lower-tier clubs, including Rieti, Lecce, and Cesena, before finally getting his chance in Serie A with Cremona in the 2022/23 season.

In July 2024, Valeri joined Parma as a free agent after leaving Frosinone. So far, he has played 40 times for Parma, scoring 2 goals and providing 8 assists.

Regarding the decision to renew Valeri's contract, Parma explained in a statement: "Emanuele has only played 40 times since joining the team, but he has won unanimous recognition both on and off the field with his full commitment in training, high-level performance on the field, and identification with the yellow and blue spirit. He has become an iconic figure of the club and a role model for understanding the connotation of Parma culture. Emanuele has grasped the essence of the yellow and blue army and internalized it as his own strength to inspire and help young teammates grow."
