In the seventh round of the 2025/26 UEFA Champions League, Bayern Munich defeated Real San Giros 2-0 at home. After this match, they are in second place with 18 points in the league, becoming the second team after Arsenal to advance to the round of 16.

Just two minutes into the game, Bayern Munich, playing at home, launched a rapid attack. They tore apart the opponent's defense with a series of fluid passes, but Harry Kane's shot was brilliantly saved by Kelley Sherpen. Playing with ten men, Bayern soon had another penalty opportunity: in the 78th minute, Olise's cross from the right struck Camille Van der Perez's arm, and the referee awarded a penalty after VAR intervention. Kane then took the penalty, but it hit the crossbar, and Luis Diaz's follow-up shot went over the bar.
