Sam Johnstone: It's a disappointing result because we had the chance to take all three points

Sam Johnstone believes Wolves' draw against Tottenham Hotspur should be the benchmark for the rest of the season. Joao Palinha's late goal denied Wolves their first Premier League win of the season, leaving them with just one point away from home.

Sam Johnstone, who made several crucial saves in the first half to keep his team ahead, believes his teammates' positive performances have laid a solid foundation for the team's performances throughout the rest of the season.

After the game, Sam Johnstone said: "This result is unacceptable. We only got one point. We have not been in good form in the past few weeks, so it is not easy to get a point away from home against Tottenham Hotspur. However, this result is not ideal because we almost got three points. The players are very disappointed."

"They played really well and gave it their all until the very end, so it's a shame. But we hope to continue this form next week and for the rest of the season."

"No one likes to lose. The Premier League is highly competitive and every game is challenging. All we can do is train hard every day and bring that fighting spirit into the game. The audience saw our reaction, especially after the home defeat to Leeds United last week, which was not up to our standards. But this game should be our baseline and we will continue to work hard on this basis."

Talking about saving Mohammed Qudus' close-range shot in the first half, he said: "The ball was very fast and the opponent shot hard. The ball just missed our defender, but I still tried my best to make the save and ensure that my teammates can continue to play."

"I made several key saves in the game and helped the team stay competitive. Together with the hard work of my teammates, we finally got a point, which is very valuable because it was a difficult game. The season will be very difficult and there are no easy opponents in the Premier League. But we showed a tenacious performance here and finally got a point. We must continue in this state."
