A new round of matches was staged in Group E of the European zone of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers. Spain, playing at home, relied on goals from Jeremi Pino and Oyarzabal to beat Georgia 2-0.

In the 7th minute of the match, Ferran Torres was knocked down while vying for the ball, but after VAR intervention, the referee ruled out a penalty. In the 13th minute, Spain created an attacking opportunity when Martin Subimendi took the ball and shot from outside the penalty area, but the ball went over the goal.

In the 29th minute, Georgia made a mistake in passing the ball. Ferran Torres was knocked down by Georgian goalkeeper Mamdashvili when he went to compete for the ball. The referee therefore awarded Spain a penalty kick. Later, when Ferran Torres took the penalty kick, Mamdashvili fell to the ground and blocked the ball.

In the 44th minute, Merino received a pass from Oyarzabal in the penalty area and turned to deal with the defense and shot, but the ball was blocked and went over the goal. Then, Spain attacked again. Oyarzabal got the ball and broke free from the defense and shot hard, but was saved by Georgian goalkeeper Mamadashvili.

Early in the second half, Oyarzabal received a diagonal pass from his teammate and broke into the penalty area, but his low shot was blocked by Georgian goalkeeper Mamadashvili. In the 53rd minute, Pedro Porro received the ball in a melee and shot from long range, but the ball hit the post. Oyarzabal's subsequent shot also hit the post.

In the 64th minute, Spain secured a free kick, and Oyarzabal converted a long-range shot, extending their lead to 2-0. In the 70th minute, Martin Suvemendi's low shot from the penalty area was ineffective. In the 87th minute, Ferran Torres received a pass from a teammate and shot again, but Georgian goalkeeper Mamadashvili saved it.

In the end, Spain defeated Georgia 2-0 at home and achieved three consecutive victories.
