South Korea's LCK team BRION (hereinafter referred to as BRO) announced on Thursday that it has appointed former SKT champion top laner Li Haocheng (ID: Duke) as head coach. The details are as follows:
"In order to meet new challenges and leaps, BRO will work hand in hand with coach Li Haocheng (ID: Duke) from the third round of the 2025 LCK regular season. "
“We implore everyone to give Coach Duke more attention and support. He will use his deep knowledge and rich experience accumulated as a player to lead BRION into a new chapter.”
Duke, 29, is one of the most representative top laners in the Korean League of Legends. He has played for many teams in his career, including KT, NaJin, SKT, iG, etc. He also won the 2016 LCK Spring Championship, the 2016 MSI Mid-Season Invitational Championship, the 2016 League of Legends World Championship, the 2018 League of Legends World Championship and the 2019 LPL Spring Championship. He has won numerous honors.
Duke was appointed as the head coach of NIP in January 2023. He resigned after only one season and has been unemployed since then.
Duke will take on the responsibility of leading BRO out of the trough this time when he returns to the coaching position. BRO's performance has been sluggish in recent years and has been at the bottom of the LCK for a long time. Although there are many potential new stars such as Hype in the team, BRO's overall performance has not improved.
