Sevilla FC's latest Chilean left-back Gabriel Suazo is looking to make his mark on the club. After signing his contract and completing his medical, Gabriel Suazo, the club's second signing for the 2025-26 season, expressed his excitement about joining Sevilla.  

The defender said: "During the friendly in Portugal, I had the opportunity to visit the stadium and feel the passion and support from the fans. The fans showed me their love and I hope to repay them with my passion and drive on the pitch.  

In addition, Gabriel Suazo admitted that the signing process was very quick. He said: "Everything happened a week ago. When they told me the decision of the Sevilla club, I had no choice but to agree."  

Gabriel Suazo said he did not need to learn from his predecessors about Sevilla's status. He said: "Sevilla is not only an important force in Spanish football, but also one of the top clubs in Europe. The club has been competing at the highest level for a long time and I am eager to stay here and participate in these top competitions."

When it comes to self-positioning, Gabriel Suazo first emphasized the importance of personal qualities. He said: "For me, the most important thing is who I am as a person. I am simple, humble, enthusiastic and approachable. I always maintain a positive attitude and try to pass on positive energy to the team. From a football perspective, no matter how I perform, I always maintain a firm attitude and selfless dedication. I never give up and will do my best to contribute to my teammates and the team."

Gabriel Suazo becomes the fourth Chilean player to wear the Sevilla jersey after Bryan Rabelo, Gary Medel and Ivan Zamorano. Speaking of Ivan Zamorano, the defender humorously said: "I'm not sure if I can score so many goals, but I hope to leave my mark in Sevilla."
