Carrick suffers his first defeat in charge of Manchester United, urging the team to learn from the experience and look to the future.

In the 29th round of the Premier League, Manchester United suffered a last-minute defeat away to 10-man Newcastle United, marking manager Michael Carrick's first loss since taking charge.

After the match, Carrick could not hide his disappointment in an exclusive interview, but he emphasized that the team must quickly learn from this defeat and reminded the outside world that Manchester United is still firmly in third place in the league and still has enough capital to achieve its season goals.

Speaking about the game, Carrick expressed his regret that his team failed to capitalize on their numerical advantage. Carrick admitted, "We are very dissatisfied with our performance tonight."

"From the perspective of the game, we had a lot of control. After the opponent played with one less player, we should have pressed our advantage and pushed the game in the direction we expected, ending the suspense completely, but we did not do so. I am very disappointed about this."

Despite suffering his first setback since taking over the team, Carrick refused to let frustration spread in the locker room, instead giving the team a boost: "We didn't play well enough and we lost a game."

"Tonight's result is heartbreaking because nobody likes to lose. But if we look at the bigger picture of the season, we are still third in the standings, which is still a very good position."

Looking ahead to next Sunday's crucial match against direct Champions League rivals Aston Villa, Carrick made it clear that the team's top priority is to rebuild focus. Carrick said, "Winning or losing will affect our emotions, that's for sure, but the key is that we must learn from it and get better."

"The boys have earned the praise they deserve over the past period. Although tonight's performance was disappointing, it will not change our mindset in preparing for the next game. We still have everything we can fight for. The whole team will learn from this experience, work hard, and be in better shape for the next challenge."
