Isaac will be sidelined for several months after undergoing surgery for an ankle injury.

Liverpool striker Isak suffered an ankle injury and a fractured fibula during the crucial Premier League match against Tottenham Hotspur in Round 17, after scoring against a strong defense. Following surgery, Liverpool manager Sloot stated that Isak would be out for several months, calling it a heavy blow for both Isak and the team.

After defeating Tottenham Hotspur 2-1, Liverpool currently sits in 6th place in the league table with 29 points, having achieved 3 wins and 2 draws in their last 5 matches. However, it is very unfortunate that with Ithaca sidelined for some time, Liverpool will face some challenges in terms of squad selection for the upcoming matches.

When asked if there was a clear timetable for Isak's return, Liverpool manager Sloot said, "Not yet. It will be a long injury problem, possibly several months. It's a huge blow for him, and certainly for us as well."

Regarding whether Isak will be able to contribute to the team again before the end of this season, Sloot said, "That's something I'm more confident about, but it will undoubtedly be a very challenging and difficult period for him."

"When players join a new club, they are usually very excited and want to show their abilities to the team immediately, but this is difficult to achieve in a short period of time. Perhaps not many people can truly understand that if a player has not been training with the team at a high intensity and systematic level for three or four months, but still has to play in this league, the player must be in top form to have an impact on the game."

Slott continued, "We all know he needs some time to get back into form because he hasn't had more systematic training. That's why his injury seems so unfortunate now. Because I think from his goals against West Ham to Tottenham, we can see that he's gradually getting back to the form he had at Newcastle."

In addition, Isak said via social media, "I am very sorry to be out for a while. Now is the time to recover, and I will continue to support the team from the sidelines. I will train hard and do my best to return as soon as possible."

"I want to thank all the fans and everyone who showed their concern; I saw it all."
