Ezri Konsa expressed satisfaction with Aston Villa's performance in the first leg of their UEFA Europa League quarter-final away match against Bologna. The defender scored at the Renato Dallara Stadium, helping his team secure a 3-1 victory in the first leg.

This was a tough match played in northern Italy, making the result all the more precious. After the game, Ezri Konsa said, "It was a very difficult match. We knew playing away would be a tough battle, and it certainly was."

“Our performance in this game wasn’t ideal, but I think we did a good job defensively. The opponent created some chances, which is inevitable, especially in European competitions. We held on until the end, although it was regrettable to concede a goal late in the game. But the most important thing is that we won the game and will go back to Villa Park with a lead.”

Ezri Konsa was visibly excited after scoring his first goal of the season for the club, and his celebration was particularly eye-catching. The goal came from a header, as he headed in a corner kick from Yuri Tielemans.

He continued, "This is my first goal for Aston Villa this season, and it's always great to score and help the team. It's something I've been working towards all season, and I think I've done it at the right time."
