Everton released an official announcement on Wednesday, confirming that Villarreal striker Tierno Barry has officially joined. The two sides signed a four-year contract, valid until June 30, 2029.

The 22-year-old Tieno Barry was born in Lyon, France, and made his professional debut for Beveren in the first round of the Belgian Second Division on August 13, 2022. He later played for Basel for a season and joined Villarreal for 14 million euros in August 2024.

To date, Barry has made 37 appearances for Villarreal, scoring 11 goals and providing 4 assists.

According to multiple media reports, the fixed fee for this transfer is 30 million euros. If the floating bonus is included, the total amount can reach up to 35 million euros. In addition, Villarreal also retains 10% of Barry's secondary transfer share.

After completing the signing, Everton manager David Moyes said: "We are very happy to bring Tierno to the club. We see great potential in him and hope he will perform well in the future. We will give him enough time to adapt and look forward to starting to work with him as soon as possible. I also hope to complete more signings in the next few weeks."
