Alaves club announced that youth player Egoiz Muñoz has completed the contract renewal with the team, and the new contract between the two parties is valid until June 2027.  

The right-back is from Vitoria-Gasteiz and has been trained in the club's youth training system since he was a teenager. In the future, he will continue to play in the Alaves jersey.  

As one of the core players of Alaves B team, Egoiz Muñoz played 28 times for the team last season and made his first-team debut in the match against Santiago de Compostela.  

The 21-year-old defender has gradually established his position in the club with his excellent attitude and unremitting efforts, demonstrating the value of the results of the youth training system.  

"I'm extremely excited to continue playing for the club that represents my hometown and my emotional belonging," said Egoiz Muñoz. He has always been looking forward to wearing the Alaves first-team jersey and making his official debut on this familiar stadium.  

This contract extension further demonstrates Alaves' strategic determination to adhere to local development and youth training system construction. The club will continue to rely on the Ibaia base to promote a stable and cohesive long-term development blueprint.
