Oliver Glasner has updated the Crystal Palace squad ahead of their game against Tottenham Hotspur. Oliver Glasner said Adam Walton will miss the game but confirmed there are no other new injury concerns.
Crystal Palace returned to Premier League action on Sunday after a 1-1 draw with Nottingham Forest. In that game, Adam Walton struggled in the second half and was eventually substituted. Oliver Glasner confirmed that the midfielder will need a little longer to recover from his injury.
Oliver Glasner said in the press conference before the game: "Unfortunately, Adam Walton will miss this game. If all goes well, Adam Walton will return to full training next week and we will start preparing for the FA Cup final on Wednesday. He is the only player absent. The other players are healthy and can play."
When asked about Adam Walton's recovery time, Oliver Glasner was optimistic about his progress given the FA Cup final will be played six days after the Tottenham game.
Oliver Glasner said: "Adam Walton has a great chance of playing in the FA Cup final, but everything is uncertain. Sunday's game against Tottenham Hotspur was too early for him. He felt a lot of pain in the game and he had some ligament damage, which is the only reason he can't play."
