RB Leipzig announced that 37-year-old Ole Werner will be the team's head coach. The coach came from Werder Bremen and the two sides signed a contract until the summer of 2027.  

Ole Werner was born in Preetz, Germany, and served as the head coach of Werder Bremen from November 2021 to May 2025. He directed a total of 128 official matches during his coaching period and led the team to eighth place in the league in the 2024-25 season, tied with RB Leipzig.  

Managing Director of Sport Marcel Schäfer said: "Ole Werner is a young coach with great potential and clear goals. We have been following his development trajectory and are very pleased that he has decided to take the next stage of his career with RB Leipzig."

He advocates an organized style of play with the ball, emphasizing the need to quickly turn defense into offense after regaining the ball.
