Wolves announced on Thursday that they have completed a contract extension with head coach Vitor Pereira. The new contract extends the contract by two years, from its original expiration date of 2026, to June 30, 2028.

Wolves had a poor start to the season, going four games without a win. Despite this, Wolves demonstrated their confidence in Pereira by extending his contract. Club chairman Shi Yu stated in the announcement: "Vitor has played a positive role in his time as Wolves manager. He has brought clarity, energy, and team spirit to the team, laying the foundation for its success."

When Pereira took over at Molineux last December, Wolves were 19th in the Premier League with just nine points. Under his leadership, Wolves achieved a record of 12 wins, 3 draws, and 10 losses the rest of the season, ultimately avoiding relegation a month early. Shi Yu praised him highly in the announcement: "His achievements last season were remarkable. Not only did he achieve an impressive six-game winning streak, he was also well-deservedly nominated for Manager of the Season."

"Now is the time for stability," Shi Yu concluded. "Vitor needs time to integrate into the squad and build rapport with the new players. We will fully support him and his coaching staff."
