Niklas Fellkrug admits they didn't play well enough and the team must find a way to unite

In the match between West Ham United and Southampton, the two sides tied with a score of 1-1. Within 2 minutes of the restart, West Ham United broke the calm of the first half and took the lead.

As the game entered the final 15 minutes, West Ham United chose to retreat to their own half to try to defend their slim lead, but in the third minute of stoppage time, Leslie Ugochukwu scored to help the team equalize the score, and West Ham United's defense failed to successfully hold on to the victory.

Niklas Felkrug said after the game: "I am indeed very angry, not because of disappointment, but because of the performance after the goal. I am very angry. Facing such an opponent, we should show the strength of the team."

"In the second half, 25 or 30 minutes, I thought we were strong in possession, we managed to break through the Southampton defence and had the chance to score again.

"It wasn't the first time we scored but then we stopped trying to keep the ball and move forward and just slumped. That's not the style of play we wanted to play. For the first 65 minutes we were able to keep the ball, even if it wasn't perfect."

“We also tried to control the game, create chances and try to score, and we did score one goal, but after that our way of playing changed.”

"The team's goals must be clear, everyone needs to be united and go all out. The coach knows exactly what he wants, and we have to give our best effort, that's how I feel."

Niklas Fellkrug also said: "I feel good and in good shape. I had some good performances today. Although I didn't have a chance to score, I assisted once and created some other chances."

“It was a good start to get back into the team. We struggled in the first half because we didn’t find an effective way to cross or score, so it was difficult for me to find my position. However, in the second half, the situation was much better. Every player was in a good position, which allowed me to help the team attack more effectively.”
