Enzo Maresca is expecting the challenge of Newcastle United to bring out the best in his side, saying they will go all out to win at St James' Park and take a solid step towards securing Champions League qualification.  

Currently, Chelsea and Newcastle United have the same points, and it is expected to be a fierce duel, similar to the exciting game at Stamford Bridge in October. Facing the strong team Newcastle United, Chelsea will face a big challenge.  

"They were very aggressive in attack, especially when we were in position, they would use one-on-one defense strategies," said Enzo Maresca.  

"When the opponent is on their side, they defend with moderate intensity, but are still dangerous with their physicality and aggressiveness. I hope that brings out the best in our guys. We've played against teams that defend low and we've played against teams that attack with a high pressure, and in both situations, we've shown great performances."  

“After the Liverpool game, someone told me that this was the first time we had played with the same starting XI in six months. It was important to be able to continue with the previous XI and we hope to show a good performance against Newcastle United.”  

Enzo Maresca believes the battle for the middle of the park could decide the outcome of the game, noting that Sandro Tonali has played a key role in Newcastle United's resurgence. However, he is confident that his midfield players will rise to the challenge.  

He said: "Sandro Tonali is a top player for Newcastle United and his performance is impeccable. Although Sandro Tonali is a very good player, Newcastle United has many other excellent players, including Bruno Guimaraes, Josh Murphy, Joe Willock, and Joelinton who is currently out due to injury."  

"Newcastle United have a lot of good players but we also have Romeo Lavia back, Moises Caicedo and Enzo Fernandez playing well and Cole Palmer doing really well. So it will be an important game for us to win."  

"We will prepare for the game with all our strength and arrange it in a way that gives us the best chance of winning the game. Ultimately, we hope to be satisfied with the result of the game."
