This Sunday, Chelsea is actively preparing for the most crucial game of the season so far. Head coach Enzo Maresca said that the training is currently going normally and there are no abnormal situations.  

Head coach Enzo Maresca stressed that Chelsea's training base remains operational despite the huge challenges ahead and discussed the potential impact that the psychological pressure of the upcoming Premier League campaign may have on the players' fitness.  

Enzo Maresca said: "The players' performance was pretty much the same as it has been throughout the season. They know this is not just one game, but a very important one. Our last game of the season is also the most crucial one, because if we can get the result we want, it will mean a lot to everyone at Chelsea."  

"I have felt the pressure since the first day I joined Chelsea. This pressure does not depend on the nature of the game. Chelsea is a club that must win. Although we have won a lot this season, we still need to win another game, and this game is particularly crucial."  

"At this stage of the season, all participating clubs are under great pressure. Our players may have higher expectations than Nottingham Forest players, but if Nottingham Forest players don't feel the pressure, then I won't be too worried. What really worries me is our own team and how we can win this crucial game."  

Enzo Maresca mentioned that the team showed great courage in the last two away games. The team fought back hard and successfully defeated Fulham on Easter. In the most recent game, despite playing with one less player in the second half, the team still posed a substantial threat to Newcastle United.  

Enzo Maresca admitted: "We need to conduct an in-depth analysis of our away performances in the summer to find out where the problem lies. I have emphasized many times that I like to analyze each game one by one. There are some away games where we shouldn't lose or even draw. For example, against Crystal Palace away, we performed better and should have won. On the other hand, we have won almost all our home games, which shows that the team has many positive aspects, not negative ones."  

“I don’t think the players have a mental block. Even in the last away game against Newcastle, they showed resilience and fighting spirit. In the end, even with only 10 men, we shouldn’t have lost that game. It’s not a mental problem.”  

“We have to show the same performance against Nottingham Forest because we are looking to qualify for the Champions League.”
