Before Villarreal's La Liga match against Celta, coach Marcelino Garcia Toral said in an interview with the media that the team must do their best to win and get valuable points.  

Marcelino, speaking before the match about their opponent, said Celta was a fast-paced, energetic team and that they would have to give their all to win all three points. He also recalled last season's clash, noting that the team had a player sent off early, which changed the course of the game.  

Marcelino analyzed his opponent before the match and highlighted some of their key strengths. He said: "Celta is a fast-paced and dynamic team. We must give our all if we want to get all three points. Last season, we played with ten men too early, which had a significant impact on the course of the game."  

Commenting on the Champions League draw in Monaco, Marcelino said: "We expected to face strong opponents, as almost all the teams involved are of a very high level. I am very pleased to have participated in the draw itself, and I am also looking forward to facing such strong opponents."  

"I particularly enjoyed going to Dortmund because it was a place I had never been to before and they went on to win the championship. I think this new format is more attractive than the past, and I've discussed this with several colleagues, and they agree."  

"Nevertheless, we must remember that the most important goal remains La Liga. Only by maintaining consistency in this league can we ensure we qualify for the Champions League again next season."  

Finally, when asked about Ayoze Perez's physical condition, Marcelino responded: "We will see how he reacts in the last training session. His recovery is improving steadily and hopefully he will be ready to be included in the squad."
