Real Sociedad announced on their official website on Tuesday that they have extended the contract of its Spanish goalkeeper Unai Marrero.
According to Real Sociedad's official statement, Marrero has signed on a new long-term four-and-a-half-year deal with the club which runs until the summer of 2030.
About Unai Marrero
The 24-year-old Marrero was born on October 9, 2001, in San Sebastián, Basque Country, Spain. He is 1.89 meters tall and plays as a goalkeeper.
Marrero joined the youth academy of a local non-league club in San Sebastián at a young age. He joined Real Sociedad's youth academy in 2016, began playing for their B team in October 2021, and completed his Real Sociedad his first-team debut by coming on as a substitute in January 2024.
Since his debut, Marrero has made 17 appearances for the La Liga club in all competitions so far, conceding 11 goals and keeping 9 clean sheets.
