Foden's stoppage-time winner secured the victory, with Guardiola praising his "extraordinary talent."

Manchester City star Phil Foden scored a crucial goal in stoppage time to help his team defeat Leeds United 3-2, once again demonstrating his strong ability to perform in big games.

Just 59 seconds into the game, Foden opened the scoring with a cross from Nunes. In the second half, despite leading 2-0, Leeds United mounted a comeback, leveling the score at 2-2, making for a tense match. In the 92nd minute of stoppage time, Foden calmly slotted home from the edge of the box, securing three points for Manchester City.

In a post-match interview, Foden recalled the winning goal, saying, "To be honest, my first thought was to shoot as soon as possible. When Cherki passed the ball to me, two players immediately pressed forward, and my first touch wasn't ideal either."

"But the moment the ball goes into the goal is a fantastic feeling. Sometimes, the feeling of a late-game game-winner is even stronger, and such victories can build tremendous confidence for the whole team."

After the match, manager Pep Guardiola was full of praise: "I really breathed a sigh of relief when he scored in the last minute. He's a player with a big heart. He can pass, make runs, and shoot from outside the box. Sometimes he blasts the ball, sometimes he taps it in; that versatility is a special talent."

Furthermore, Guardiola admitted that Manchester City's performance was not perfect, especially after Leeds United changed their system and became disorganized, conceding a goal early in the second half. However, he believed that Foden's winning goal demonstrated the team's ability to react in adversity: "Football is an emotional sport, and we must learn to persevere in these moments. In the end, we did it, and Foden once again helped us win the game with his quality."

With this crucial goal, Manchester City have climbed back to second place in the league standings. They currently have 25 points, four points behind league leaders Arsenal. City's next Premier League match is an away game against Fulham on December 3rd.
