Colombian player John Arias says he's excited about his debut in a Wolves shirt and is enjoying integrating into the team. The new signing made his debut in a pre-season friendly against Girona in Spain, scoring his first goal in the golden shirt with a confident strike shortly after coming on as a substitute.  

The striker officially joined the team on Thursday and with the active assistance of Jerson Mosquera and Andre, he quickly integrated into the team atmosphere and found a sense of belonging in just a few days.  

After making his debut for Wolves, John Arias said: "This is a valuable experience. On the third day of joining the team, I was in very good shape in Spain. The team and coaching staff were very friendly to me. I feel very relieved and I am very happy to be here."  

"It was a great feeling at that moment. It was my first goal for Wolves and I'm very proud. I hope we can have a wonderful season together. I felt good in the first few minutes on the pitch and I'm gradually adapting to the team. My teammates' acceptance of me made me feel at ease, especially with familiar faces like Jerson Mosquera and Andre, who made my integration process smoother. So, I'm really happy."  

John Arias is full of expectations for the new season. He said: "I am full of confidence in this season. We are a very strong team with many outstanding players and a head coach that I am very familiar with and trust. I believe this will be a year worth looking forward to for the Wolves."  

"Jelson Mosquera welcomed me warmly. He's been at Wolves longer than I have and has been acting as my interpreter. It's clear that I need to start taking English lessons to improve my pronunciation and speaking. While my listening comprehension is decent, my speaking needs improvement, mainly due to lack of practice."  

“Although the result of today’s game was not satisfactory, I completed my personal debut and it feels very good. I look forward to having a successful season with the team.”
