AS reports that Real Madrid are dissatisfied with the current state of the team but have no intention of firing Xabi Alonso.

According to AS's correspondent José Felix Diaz on Tuesday, Real Madrid are not currently considering dismissing Xabi Alonso as manager.

Alonso's professional career included two Champions League titles, one UEFA Super Cup, one FA Cup, one Community Shield, one La Liga title, two Copa del Rey titles, one Spanish Super Cup, three Bundesliga titles, one German Cup, and one German Super Cup with Liverpool, Real Madrid, and Bayern Munich. He was also a key member of Spain's "Golden Generation," winning two European Championships (2008, 2012) and one World Cup (2010). He retired in July 2017 and subsequently began his coaching career with Real Madrid U14.

In October 2022, Alonso officially took over as head coach of Bayer Leverkusen. During his three years at Leverkusen, he led the team to a record of 89 wins, 32 draws, and 19 losses, winning the Bundesliga title, the German Cup, and the German Super Cup.

In June of this year, Xabi Alonso succeeded Carlo Ancelotti as Real Madrid's manager. Under his guidance, Real Madrid currently sits atop the La Liga table with 31 points from 10 wins, 2 draws, and 1 loss, but is only one point ahead of Barcelona.

More worrying than the results is the tense atmosphere within Real Madrid's dressing room. According to previous reports from Spanish media, a clear division has emerged within the first team: several players, including Vinicius Junior, Federico Valverde, Eduardo Camavinga, Rodrygo, Brahim Diaz, and Ferran Mendy, harbor discontent with Alonso, while players such as Thibaut Courtois, Kylian Mbappé, and Arda Güler have expressed their support for him.

Real Madrid's management is deeply concerned and dissatisfied with the team's current competitive state and public image, and has demanded an immediate response from Alonso and the players. They also believe that Alonso seems overly reliant on his coaching staff, resulting in a slight disconnect between him and the team's surroundings during his daily work at the training ground.

Regardless, Real Madrid has no intention of succumbing to external pressure to sack Alonso. The club believes the main problem lies in the urgent need to improve the relationship between the dressing room manager and the coach. Their clear message to both sides is that the club's interests take precedence over personal grievances, and both sides must work together to find a solution.
