Arsenal suffered a disappointing FA Cup exit, with Arteta urging the team to bounce back.

In the FA Cup quarter-finals, Arsenal lost 1-2 to Southampton away from home, unfortunately ending their run in the quarter-finals.

After the match, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta admitted in an interview that he was very disappointed with the result, but he also called on the whole team to quickly get out of the shadow of defeat and shift all their attention to the upcoming Premier League and Champions League matches, and to show the team's resilience and true colors with concrete actions.

Although Arsenal striker Victor Dzekeresh scored a goal in this match, Southampton ultimately won at St. Mary's Stadium thanks to a goal from Ross Stewart and a last-minute winner from Shay Charles in the 85th minute.

In reviewing the match, Arteta pointed out incisively that the team's poor performance on both ends of the pitch (in the two penalty areas) was the direct cause of their elimination. He expressed his deep regret, saying, "We had a huge advantage at certain points in the game."

"We created a lot of dangerous chances in and around the opponent's penalty area, but unfortunately we failed to capitalize on them. Even more fatal was our extremely poor defensive performance near our own penalty area today. We are usually very good at dealing with these defensive situations, but today we paid a heavy price for it."

With their FA Cup exit, Arsenal's campaign this season will be entirely focused on competing in both the Premier League and the Champions League. Next, the team will face Sporting Lisbon in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final tie.

Facing the tough test of the final stretch of the season, Arteta issued a strong pep talk to the team: "We are about to enter the most critical period in these two crucial competitions."

"When the team encounters setbacks and difficult moments during a long season, this is the best time to test our mettle. Now, we must show the world what Arsenal is truly made of."
