Mas Hermansen's recent performances have once again proven that patience pays off. The goalkeeper lost his place at West Ham United after only four appearances, his career stalled, and his disappointment is understandable.  

The player spent three and a half months at Rashgreen, sticking to his training methods and demonstrating the professionalism expected of someone who had risen through the Danish fourth tier to the Premier League. He always believed in his abilities and patiently waited for his next opportunity. That opportunity finally came in the FA Cup third round against Queens Park Rangers, where the 25-year-old made his debut for the team, who won 2-1 after extra time.  

Subsequently, Nuno Espirito Santo recalled Mas Hermanson to the Premier League starting lineup for the away game against Burnley. The goalkeeper repaid the manager's trust with an excellent performance, helping West Ham United to a 2-0 victory and a clean sheet. He then continued his solid performance in the 1-1 home draw against Manchester United.  

Mas Hermansen, known for his composure and unwavering determination, expressed his resolve to maintain his excellent performance and retain his starting position during the Premier League's final stretch. He stated, "This season has been tough at times, but for me, the focus has been on working hard and maintaining a professional and positive attitude every day."  

“I always try to do the right thing. Of course, sometimes I feel like ‘things are bad’ or ‘I want to play.’ But I also know there’s a team here, and the other goalkeepers are also trying to perform well. So, my focus is on doing my best to support them, to be the best for the team, and to be ready to take advantage of any opportunity.”  

“What makes me happiest is that the hard work of the past four or five months has enabled me to perform well when I got another chance. This puts me in a good position, and I think this is the real me that you see in front of the door right now.”
